The History of Baba Ghodrat

The late Etimad al-Saltaneh wrote about the route from Mashhad to Tehran and the caravanserai of Baba Ghodrat in his book Matla al-Shams:When they move from the holy city of Mashhad through Neishabour and Sabzevar to Darul-Khalifah, Tehran, although according to the construction the first place is Sharif Abad, but most of the caravans and pilgrims stay overnight in Targh, which is one and a half farsang from the city of Mashhad. Then, leaving the gate of Sefali street or Eidgah gate, they will first reach the Baba Ghodrat pool, then they will reach the Baba Ghodrat Rabat, which was built by Ishaq Khan Qarai.

In fact, before entering Mashhad or after leaving Mashhad, travelers and pilgrims used to spend a day or night in Rabat Baba ghodrat. This caravanserai is one of the historical buildings in the early Qajar period.
